Economic Development
Mission: To facilitate and promote development of a strong economic base in South Palm Beach County while implementing strategies aimed at business retention and attracting new business.
Proposed activities include:

• Maintain and sustain a healthy economic environment
• Work closely with the City of Boca Raton and the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County to attract top businesses to our area
• Influence the development of initiatives and programs that balance the demands of economic growth with the community’s quality of life

 
Government Affairs
Mission: To advise the Chamber Board on adopting public policy positions, assist with advocacy efforts and provide a forum for Chamber members to track, research, and discuss important public policy issues.
Proposed activities include:

• Monitor, analyze and prioritize public policy issues which impact Chamber members and the greater business community.
• Recommend to the executive committee and/or the board of directors, policy positions regarding local, state and federal legislation and proposed regulations.
• Prioritize issues that may require special attention by the Chamber.
• Prepare plans of action for the Chamber staff and volunteers to participate in the government, community, business, media and other arenas to achieve action on the policy positions adopted by the Chamber.
• Assist the chamber in developing and maintaining positive relationships with local, state and federal officials.

 
Tourism
Mission: To work together to develop and promote year-round tourism in the greater Boca Raton area. The Tourism Committee is comprised of members from all areas of the Hospitality Industry.
Proposed activities include:

• Create awareness and understanding of tourism’s effects on enhancing Boca’s quality
  of life
• Develop and executive initiatives that will advance commerce from tourism (ex. Boca Restaurant Month)
• Research the gaps in tourism and implement plans that will address the need for year-round profitability in the hospitality industry

 
Ambassadors
Mission: A group of committed Chamber Members who serve as the backbone of the Chamber’s membership and marketing program by welcoming new members and reaching out to answer questions, maintain retention and sustain relationships.
 
Proposed activities include:

• Attend ribbon cuttings and events each month
• Generate ideas and discuss new member outreach at monthly meetings
• Speak at New Member Orientation about personal Chamber journey and how to succeed as a member
