April 1: Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a mandatory safer-at-home order for the entire state of Florida, beginning Tonight at midnight. The order mandates that residents stay home and requires "all persons in Florida to limit their movements and personal interactions outside of their home" to essential services or activities for the next 30 days.

March 28: On Saturday evening, the City of Delray Beach issued a stay-at-home order and overnight curfew. The curfew will be in effect daily from 12:01 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and shall include but not be limited to the prohibition of pedestrian and vehicular movement, standing, and parking.

March 27: The City of Boca Raton issued a “Stay Home, Stay Safe” emergency order for everyone living within City limits beginning Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 12:01 AM. People should remain in their homes or on their own property. Individuals may leave their places of residence only for essential activities. Do your part. Slow the spread. Stay safe and stay home.

March 25, 2020: Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-83 directing the State Surgeon General and State Health Officer to issue a public health advisory to everyone over the age of 65 and those with serious underlying medical conditions, urging them to stay home and to take other measures as necessary to limit their risk of exposure to COVID-19. Additionally, the Order directs the State Surgeon General and State Health Officer to issue a public health advisory against all social or recreational gatherings of 10 or more people and urging those who can work remotely to do so.

This order is intended to save lives and prevent the long-term devastating impacts that COVID-19 could have on our residents, businesses and visitors. Do your part. Slow the spread. Stay at home.

Reporting & Violations:
Residents can report a business that is not following the State and County social distancing and mask mandates for COVID-19 by contacting Palm Beach County’s COVID Education Compliance Team (CECT). The CECT will work to educate and bring businesses into compliance with state and local enforcement orders required by the Governor and the County. The team is comprised of representatives from state and local agencies including the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Palm Beach County Code Enforcement and Fire Rescue, the Florida Department of Health-Palm Beach County and police departments from Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach. Team members will proactively conduct spot inspections of local businesses and public venues, noting where masks are not being worn and/or social distancing is not being consistently practiced. The team is comprised of representatives from state and local agencies including the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Palm Beach County Code Enforcement and Fire Rescue, the Florida Department of Health-Palm Beach County and police departments from Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach. Team members will proactively conduct spot inspections of local businesses and public venues, noting where masks are not being worn and/or social distancing is not being consistently practiced. NEW Walk Up Testing Site: Town Center at Boca Raton located at 6000 Glades Road in Boca Raton, FL 33431. Hours of Operation: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Testing Criteria: Ages 18 and older, regardless of symptoms. No Appointment needed
COVID-19 WALK-UP testing site: Home Depot located at 9820 Glades Road in west Boca Raton.
FAU Testing Site: Testing will be done on the north end of campus at the FAU Tech Runway. Anyone over the age of 12 can be tested, even if asymptomatic. However, FAU’s testing site requires an appointment for testing. In order to set an appointment or have any questions about the site, call 1-800-209-7919 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The address is 901 NW 35th Street, Boca Raton, 33431.
A drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will open at the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach (16700 Jog Road, Delray Beach). The telephone number to schedule appointments opens today at 10:00 am. The number is: 561-804-0250.
A new Covid-19 testing site will be available in Palm Beach County at the FITTEAM Ballpark (5444 Haverhill Road, West Palm Beach) of the Palm Beaches March 31, 2020. Telephone registration and appointment scheduling are required. Call: 561-642-1000
Many retail pharmacy chains such as CVS Health, have recently announced that they will provide Coronavirus testing services to the general public.
While final details are still being worked out, CVS has indicated that Coronavirus testing will take place in parking lots or other secure areas – not inside of the store.
Broward County now has three testing centers set up across the county. Broward Health is operating a site in Pompano Beach, while Cleveland Clinic is set up in Weston,
and Memorial Health is in C.B. Smith Park.
Those who meet the criteria below are encouraged to call the CB Smith Park Screening Center at 954-276-4680.
-First responders: police, fire rescue and hospital workers who are symptomatic.
-Individuals who are 65 years or older, “Who has a chronic condition, and who also has symptoms,” according to Dr. Jennifer Goldman, who organized the drive-thru testing and the hotline
The hotline will be operating Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week.
