Transportation
Boca Raton is accessible by virtually any method of transportation, be it by land, sea or air. Boca Raton is close to West Palm Beach (only 30 miles north), Fort Lauderdale, (only 20 minutes south), and Miami (an additional 30 minutes from Fort Lauderdale). The city offers access to three international airports, one executive airport and is within 50 miles of three major sea ports. Two of Florida's major arteries--Interstate 95 (I-95) and the Florida Turnpike--run through the city, connecting it with other metropolitan areas, major roadways and key intersections. Public transportation is also readily accessible through the county's Palm Tran bus system, and the commuter Tri-Rail train. Here is a list of how to get from here to there.

The Boca Raton Airport, off of Glades Road at I-95 near Florida Atlantic University, has undergone $10 million in improvements over the last decade. It encompasses 204 acres and is one of six high-activity general aviation airports in the metropolitan area. Boca Raton Airport serves as a general aviation alternative to Palm Beach International and provides aircrafts with a less costly and less congested operating environment. It features a 150-by-5,200 foot lighted asphalt runway with a 5,200 foot parallel taxiway. The 286 corporate and individually owned planes here account for approximately 132,000 aircraft operations a year.
