Boca Raton, Fla., - July 26, 2012–Bluegreen Vacations, a leader in the vacation ownership industry announced today that many of its associates will be participating in the Bowl-a-thon for Junior Achievement of South Florida on September 21, 2012. In addition, Bluegreen’s Charitable Giving Committee has also sponsored this event with a “walk on” sponsorship of $1,000, adding their company logo to team T-Shirts.  This is Bluegreen’s third year of participation in this fundraiser and fourth year supporting JA of South Florida.

“We have 5 teams and our goal is nominal but its $3000,” explained Angela Ward, President of Resort Title, within Bluegreen Vacations and Junior Achievement Board Member. “Each team at Bluegreen has a team page for online fundraising and the teams are finding creative ways to blend fun and fundraising for all of the associates at Bluegreen. They will have bowling practice events at Strikes in Boca Raton to provide Bluegreen associates an opportunity for fun after work get together and have raffles at the alley.”

The first of three planned practice sessions to which Boca associates are invited will take place on Thursday, July 26th at Strikes bowling alley in Boca Raton at 5:30 p.m. This event ties into Bluegreen’s Wellness Program, promoting healthy lifestyles and also builds intradepartmental relationships.

“This is a great opportunity for associates to get together after work hours to spend some time together all in pursuit of worthwhile fundraising goals and to cheer on the games,” said Ward. “But most importantly, Junior Achievement’s mission benefits the families of our employees. Several Bluegreen associates have children who have had the opportunity to participate in Junior Acheivement’s Biz Town or Finance Park and providing an opportunity such as this to support them is very personal for our associates.”

Additional fundraising will take place in the form of raffle drawings, including a Bluegreen Resort Stay Certificate and gift cards to Dunkin Donuts, Ale House and Total Wine.
