West Palm Beach, FL, - September 27, 2010 Workforce Alliance announced the scheduled opening of a new Career Center in Boca Raton on Tuesday, October 12th to serve job seekers and businesses in the southern part of Palm Beach County. The new site, 951 Yamato Road, Suite 175, is situated just west of I-95 on the north side of Yamato Road and is easily accessible by car or from Tri-Rail and Palm Tran.
Kathryn Schmidt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Workforce Alliance, said, Our South Career Center in Boca Raton expands our capabilities to provide tools and resources for job seekers as they seek training and employment opportunities. The new center will also offer local businesses a number of resources for recruiting executive to entry-level employees as well as incentives for training existing employees and hiring additional workers.
Workforce Alliance is the non-profit corporation chartered by the State of Florida to craft and oversee a workforce development system that is responsive to the needs of both employers and job seekers in Palm Beach County. Job Placement counselors at all Career Center locations in Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Belle Glade, provide instruction, mentoring, case management, job development and follow-up services. Each location also offers weekly workshops, recruiting events, computer classes and access to computers, internet, telephones, copiers and fax machines.
Workforce Alliance also offers Professional Placement services for unemployed individuals who have a four-year college degree or five years of managerial experience with commensurate salary history at the new Boca Raton and West Palm Beach Career Centers.
